boxing hares weathervanes

Description

The boxing hares weathervane features two hares boxing. These 'mad March hares' typically box during the mating season, the hares can come to blows when a persistent Buck chases a fed up Doe in an attempt to mate with her or if a competing Buck shows up. Boxing hares are depicted in many artists drawings and paintings and it does make for an interesting design for a weathervane so if nature and wildlife are your thing and you are looking for something a little different this may be the perfect weathervane

This weather vane comes in a standard black finish but can also be finished with Gold lettering on the N S E W and gold detail on the arrow tip and the arrow quill

Measurements & Fixing:

- Average height of assembled steel weathervanes: 34.5" (880mm) we will shortly be adding more specific measurements

- Height of weathervane design: 14" (355mm)

- Width of NSEW: 23-24" (560mm - 610mm)

- Length of arrow: 21.5" (550mm)

Steel construction with primer and powder coating:

The boxing hare weathervane is made from strong 3mm thick steel primed with iron phosphate primer and finished in a durable hammered effect black finish. Clear mastic can also be used on any joints for example where the rod is inserted and secured into the bracket to seal and further weatherproof and prolong the life of the steel bracket and rod. Painting the weathervane in the future is also possible with a good quality exterior metal paint to freshen and restore the colour. Weather vanes or weather veins as they are sometimes called create a nice feature and can be installed on garden sheds, huts, workshops, outhouses, gazebos, poles, cottages, houses and many more
