  • Description

Elevate your roof's aesthetic with the captivating steel stag weathervane, a true masterpiece in both form and function. Standing at an impressive height of 35.3 inches (90cm), this weathervane boasts a circular ridge base, 12 inches (30cm) in diameter and 10 inches (24cm) tall. Its exquisitely ornate design infuses a touch of elegance into any rooftop, transforming it into an alluring finial, a piece of art that doesn't merely adorn but intrigues.

Crafted with the utmost precision, the stag figurine isn't just a decorative piece but serves a practical purpose as well. It pivots gracefully in the wind, indicating the direction of the breeze, combining beauty with utility.

The standard terracotta of the ridge tile fitting is classic, but other colours and finishes are available ensuring it complements your personal style seamlessly. Installation is a breeze. The round ridge tile base seamlessly fits to your roof with mortar, eliminating the need for potentially damaging drilling or braces. For added stability, we provide a robust, pliable metal strap that can be tailored to your requirements, featuring multiple holes for secure attachment to your roof using screws, nails, or suitable fasteners. Once the strap is in place, a layer of traditional mortar conceals it, ensuring a neat install.

Versatile by design, this stag weathervane is suitable for a myriad of applications. From turrets and towers to flat, round, or circular roofs, it can even adorn your garden as an exquisite ornament.

Effortless to install and aesthetically pleasing, the steel stag weathervane is your key to enhancing your roof's style and functionality.

  • Brackets & Fixings

This weathervane finial can insalled in the following ways:

    Mortar bedding:

The traditional installation method is to bed the finial onto the roof using mortar, in the same way as ridge tiles are fitted. For larger or heavier finials, additional mechanical fixing can be used for extra stability.

    Mechanical strap fixing with mortar:

Many finials are supplied with a concealed galvanised metal fixing strap secured beneath the ridge base. The adjustable strap can be cut to length and fixed to the roof structure using screws, nails or mortar. Once installed, the strap is hidden beneath the mortar bedding, leaving a clean and seamless finish.

    Dry fixing systems:

Some roofs use dry fix systems that secure ridge tiles and finials without mortar. These systems typically use brackets or mechanical fixings. If you are using a dry ridge system, please contact us to confirm whether your chosen finial can be adapted for compatibility.

  • Lead Time

Please allow up to 4–5 weeks from ordering for this weathervane finial to be manufactured and delivered (unless you have contacted us prior to check lead time)
