Victorian arrow verdigris weathervane supplied with a round ridge tile finial capping
- Description
Enhance your rooftop with the captivating charm of the copper verdigris Victorian arrow weathervane, a splendid fusion of aesthetic allure and functional finesse. Crafted from exquisite copper verdigris, this weathervane boasts an ornate design that elevates the visual appeal of any architectural setting. Adorning your roof with a round ridge tile cap, this masterpiece stands as a testament to timeless elegance.
Standing tall at an impressive height of 31.5" (80cm), the weathervane features a fully operational Victorian arrow that moves gracefully with the wind, elegantly indicating the direction of the breeze. Its stable foundation is in the form of a ridge base, boasting a diameter of 12" (30cm) and a height of 10" (24cm), ensuring both sturdiness and security.
Installation becomes a seamless experience with the Victorian arrow weathervane, negating the need for cumbersome brackets. Embracing a traditional approach to install, the round ridge tile capping is incorporated using mortar, facilitating a swift and uncomplicated setup. Unlike other installations that necessitate drilling or intrusive brackets, the weathervane base attaches to the roof with mortar
Ease of concealment is guaranteed with the innovative mechanical fix, a flexible metal strap that can be tailored to size and affixed to the roof structure through the series of holes. Once in place, this metal strap discreetly disappears from view, concealed by the mortar bedding, preserving the weathervane's aesthetics.
Versatility is the hallmark of the Victorian arrow weathervane, adaptable to various roof types such as turrets, towers, flat, round, and circular roofs. Beyond rooftops, it finds a second home in gardens, doubling as a captivating decoration. Opt for the copper verdigris Victorian arrow weathervane, and elevate both the allure and sophistication of your surroundings.
- Brackets & Fixings
This weathervane finial can insalled in the following ways:
Mortar bedding:
The traditional installation method is to bed the finial onto the roof using mortar, in the same way as ridge tiles are fitted. For larger or heavier finials, additional mechanical fixing can be used for extra stability.
Mechanical strap fixing with mortar:
Many finials are supplied with a concealed galvanised metal fixing strap secured beneath the ridge base. The adjustable strap can be cut to length and fixed to the roof structure using screws, nails or mortar. Once installed, the strap is hidden beneath the mortar bedding, leaving a clean and seamless finish.
Dry fixing systems:
Some roofs use dry fix systems that secure ridge tiles and finials without mortar. These systems typically use brackets or mechanical fixings. If you are using a dry ridge system, please contact us to confirm whether your chosen finial can be adapted for compatibility.
