Angel weathervane fitted on a double arch angled 45 degree ridge tile finial
- Description
Enhance the aesthetic appeal and functionality of your residence with the exquisite polished copper Angel Weathervane. Crafted with precision, this stunning weathervane gracefully adorns a double arched 45 degree ridge tile, allowing a unique and captivating feature to be added to your roof. Beyond its aesthetic charm, the angel weathervane serves as a practical weather indicator, responding gracefully to the changing winds.
Designed to complement the standard terracotta hue of the ridge tile, the weathervane also offers a spectrum of alternative colours and finishes to suit your preferences. Standing tall at an impressive 34.3 inches (87cm), with dimensions of 12 inches (296mm) in length and 9 inches (225mm) in width, this heavenly ornament seamlessly integrates into the architectural landscape.
The decision to not use conventional brackets in favour of a ridge tile installation proves not only aesthetically pleasing for those wishing to install a weathervane on the roof but also a convenient option. By avoiding penetrative installations, potential water ingress is prevented, assuring a lower hassle installation process. Furthermore, the inclusion of a mechanical fix option, a discreet yet robust metal strap with versatile attachment points, offers an additional installation method.
Whether gracing the gable end, hip end, house, cottage, shed, workshop, or summer house, the Angel Ridge Weathervanes are versatile additions. Beyond roofs, these ornamental delights can embellish garden settings, adding a touch of sophistication. Elevate your outdoor spaces with this fusion of artistry and practicality, ensuring your home stands out with a celestial charm.
- Brackets & Fixings
This weathervane finial can insalled in the following ways:
Mortar bedding:
The traditional installation method is to bed the finial onto the roof using mortar, in the same way as ridge tiles are fitted. For larger or heavier finials, additional mechanical fixing can be used for extra stability.
Mechanical strap fixing with mortar:
Many finials are supplied with a concealed galvanised metal fixing strap secured beneath the ridge base. The adjustable strap can be cut to length and fixed to the roof structure using screws, nails or mortar. Once installed, the strap is hidden beneath the mortar bedding, leaving a clean and seamless finish.
Dry fixing systems:
Some roofs use dry fix systems that secure ridge tiles and finials without mortar. These systems typically use brackets or mechanical fixings. If you are using a dry ridge system, please contact us to confirm whether your chosen finial can be adapted for compatibility.
